Nachatter Singh Garha holds a PhD in Demography from the Centre for Demographic Studies and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), with the highest qualification (Excellent/A), Cum-Laude Mention, and international doctoral research component. He is currently employed as a post-doctoral researcher in the EU funded PREMIUM_EU project at the Center for Demographic Studies, Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain. Recently he won the prestigious. His research interests include demographic analysis, migration studies, urban and housing studies, climate change, quantitative, qualitative and spatial data analysis, and gender studies. In 2024, he won the II Xoán Vicente Viqueira Award for Research in Social Sciences, Humanities, Sustainability and Innovation in the category of Award for Scientific Innovation, by the Deputation of A Coruña.
