Claudia Brunori is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Sociology of the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona and at the Centre d’Estudis Demogràfics (CED), and a visiting researcher at Centre for Demographic and Aging Research at Umeå University (CEDAR). She earned her PhD in Political and Social Sciences at the European University Institute in 2023, with visiting stays at the University of Essex (UK), Humboldt University (Germany), and at the French Institute for Demographic Studies (Ined). Her research focuses on understanding the short- and long- term consequences of international migration for socioeconomic outcomes, health, and further spatial mobility. Central to her research is the understanding of migration as a process taking place at the family-, rather than at the individual-, level. She is currently part of the research team of the LIFELONGMOVE project (2023-2027) funded by the ERC-Consolidator Grant call and coordinated by Prof. Sergi Vidal. Since 2025, she is a member of the Steering Committee of the EAPS Working Group on Migrant Health. Her research is featured in international journals such as Population, Space and Place, Population and Development Review, International Migration Review, Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies and Social Sciences & Medicine.
