Bob Langereis is currently pursuing a PhD in Demography at the Centre for Demographic Studies (CED) in Barcelona. His research interest relates to the socioeconomic and health outcomes of diverse sexual and gender identities. In particular, his dissertation investigates LGBTQ+ labour market outcomes and their returns on health status. Before joining CED he attained a Bachelor’s degree in “Human Geography and Planning” from the University of Groningen (2022) and a Masters in “Sociology and Demography” at the Pompeu Fabra University and “Population Studies” at the University of Groningen (double degree master “Social Demography”; 2024). He started his PhD training as part of the ERC-funded project “Sexual Minorities and Inequality of Opportunity” (MINEQ), under the supervision of Diederik Boertien.
