Florencia Bathory holds a BSc in Sociology from the University of Buenos Aires, a Master’s degree in Social Demography from the National University of Luján, and a Master’s degree in Demography from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. She also completed the European Doctoral School of Demography at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research and the Institut national d’études démographiques during 2024-2025. Her research interests are diverse, such as the study of socioeconomic determinants of health and mortality, mental health among older adults, population ageing and care arrangements in low-fertility contexts. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Demography at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona as a Marie Sklodowska Curie Action (MSCA) doctoral fellow in the TOUCH project, co-funded by the European Union, and mentored by Jeroen Spijker and Elisenda Rentería.
