Yanling Chen is currently a PhD student at the Centre for Demographic Studies (CED) in Barcelona, Spain, under the supervision of Professor Pablo Gracia. She obtained her Master’s degree in Applied Psychology from Zhejiang Normal University, China, in 2025.Her research lies at the intersection of psychology and sociology, with a particular focus on adolescent well-being and family education. Specifically, she has investigated the relationship between school bullying and mental health among adolescents, as well as the effects of parental educational involvement on students’ psychological well-being and academic performance in the context of China’s recent education reforms. She has been awarded the prestigious National Scholarship and multiple research scholarships in China, and her doctoral studies are currently supported by the China Scholarship Council (CSC). Her work has been published in journals such as Children and Youth Services Review, Behavioral Sciences, Social Psychology of Education, and Journal of Youth and Adolescence.
