Thiago is a demographer and social scientist. He is currently a Training Researcher at the Centre d’Estudis Demogràfics (CED) and a PhD student at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). He completed the European Doctoral School of Demography (EDSD, 2024-2025) at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (MPIDR) and the Institut National d’Études Démographiques (INED). He also holds a Master’s degree in Demography from the Center for Development and Regional Planning at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Cedeplar/UFMG, Brazil). His research focuses on topics related to childlessness, family and kinship dynamics, life course analysis, and social inequalities, such as gender and socioeconomic status. He is currently part of the research team of the Generation and Life Course Inequalities on a Demographic Perspective (GENLIFE) project, coordinated by Mariona Lozano and funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Technology (MCIU).
